Cardian Matsu TTC’s cultivated an amazing group of artists to work with since its inception, and these compilation volumes always serve to reinstate that point again and again. There’s a wide variety of tracks on here that explore a lot of the directions that downtempo has gone and can go.

There’s some DNB with Seim’s contributions, very deep ambience courtesy of Sjöhäxan, lounge type sounds from Telenights, VGM sounds from Daniel Borkan… It goes on.

Any avid telepath fan knows he's made some pretty mind-altering post-contemporary, mall setting vaporwave in his discography, but I genuinely think of Antara Communications as a steep outlier to all of his albums. It doesn't even sound like it was created with any actual compound structure found on Earth, but more like was chemically concocted from light and pure ether. It might as well be some kind of strange transmission from another nebula because it's simply out of this world. (pun intended) Quota
